1. A haptic system comprising:
- at least one acoustic sensor;
an amplifier for receiving electronic signals from the acoustic sensor and amplifying the received signals;
at least one actuator, operatively connected to the amplifier, for vibrating in accordance with the amplified signals;
an elastic support including a flat base portion curving at one end thereof into a retention portion angled with respect to and extending over at least part of the flat portion;
a stiff panel having an underside, a first portion of the underside being joined to the retention portion of the elastic support, the actuator being joined to the underside of the stiff panel outside the first portion thereof so as to transmit vibration to the panel.
