1. A system comprising:

  • an engine control system, comprising;

    a harness comprising a processor and a plurality of ports, wherein each port of the plurality of ports is configured to couple with a sensor;

    a memory configured to store calibrations and control modes corresponding to a plurality of sensor configurations;

    wherein the processor is coupled to the memory, wherein the engine control system is configured to load a first set of calibrations from the memory corresponding to a first configuration of sensors and to control emissions from an engine system in a first control mode when the processor determines that the first configuration of sensors is coupled to the harness, and the engine control system is configured to load a second set of calibrations from the memory corresponding to a second configuration of sensors and to control the emissions from the engine system in a second control mode when the second configuration of sensors is coupled to the harness, wherein the processor is configured to identify each sensor of a plurality of sensors coupled to the harness based at least in part on an identification signal of the respective sensor, wherein the identification signal of each sensor corresponds to a property of the respective sensor.
