1. An arrangement for managing wireless communication between one or more controller devices or one or more controllable devices, the arrangement comprising;
- a controllable device, the controllable device comprising a first processor, a first memory, a first proximity sensor for detecting the proximity of a controller device or another controllable device, andone or more communication mechanisms one of which is a proximity communication mechanism including at least a near field communication mechanism,wherein the controllable device has access to one or more resource description files one of those resource description files including data representative of at least a portion of the resources to control the controllable device; and
a controller device, the controller device having a second processor, a second memory, a second proximity sensor for detecting the proximity of a controllable device or another controller device, and one or more communication mechanisms one of which is a proximity communications mechanism including at least a near field communications mechanism, wherein the controller device has no access to the one or more resource description files for the controllable device,wherein the devices are brought together such that at least one of the proximity sensors confirms proximity of another device after which the devices can communicate wirelessly using the near field communications mechanism to exchange data to facilitate the communication of one or more resource description files of the controllable device, containing extended mark-up language including at least a controllable tag, to the second memory of the controller device using one or more of the communication mechanisms for processing the resource description file by the processor of the controller device to allow control of the controllable device by the controller device.

Abstract
An arrangement for managing bi-directional wireless communication between a controller and a plurality of controllable-devices wherein each controllable-device is able to provide operable function specific instructions to the controller as to how it would like to be operated by the controller and wherein a proximity mechanism means provides bidirectional communications over a distance of a few centimeters between the controller and the or each controllable-device.
