1. A system, comprising:
- a storage device storing an advertisement that includesa first set of engagement devices that encourage user interaction with the advertisement,respective sets of media assets including a first set comprising one or more initial media assets and a second set,a first state including the first set of media assets, anda second state including the second set of media assets and a second set of engagement devices; and
a display device thatincludes a primary display space comprising content separate and distinct from the advertisement,is in communication with the storage device,is configured to display advertisement data, andis configured to selectively display a navigation bar within the advertisement, when the advertisement is displayed,wherein the navigation bar includes one or more interaction prompts based on the second set of engagement devices, the one or more interaction prompts indicating that, when the advertisement is in the first state, further engagement with one or more of the second set of engagement devices will cause an action by the advertisement, andwherein the advertisement is configured to be positioned at a fixed location within the primary display space such that the advertisement remains displayed at the fixed location as a user scrolls the content displayed within the primary display space.

Abstract
Systems and methods for a multi-state advertisement displayed at a fixed position on a primary display space of a display device, such as an electronic device with a display. The fixed position advertisement remains in its fixed position in view of the user as the user scrolls the web page in various directions. A plurality of events trigger a change in the state of the multi-state advertisement, with the change in state resulting in a change of the advertisement content, shape, size, style and appearance. An embodiment deploys an initial video in combination with a billboard. When the interstitial video ends, the fixed position advertisement is sized down to a less obtrusive size, with the billboard and the interstitial video replaced with a navigation bar.

storing, on a server, an advertisement that includes a first set of engagement devices that encourage user interaction with the advertisement, respective sets of media assets including a first set comprising one or more initial media assets and a second set, a first state including the first set of media assets, and a second state including the second set of media assets and a second set of engagement devices; and selectively displaying, in a primary display space of a display of an electronic display device, a navigation bar within the advertisement, when the advertisement is displayed, the primary display space comprising content separate and distinct from the advertisement, wherein the navigation bar includes one or more interaction prompts based on the second set of engagement devices, the one or more interaction prompts indicating that, when the advertisement is in the first state, further engagement with one or more of the second set of engagement devices will cause an action by the advertisement, and wherein the advertisement is configured to be positioned at a fixed location within the primary display space such that the advertisement remains displayed at the fixed location as a user scrolls the content displayed within the primary display space. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18)
