1. An aircraft cabin lighting unit comprising:

  • a plurality of quantum dot light-emitting diodes (“

    QLEDs”

    ), including a first QLED of a first color and a second QLED of a second color;

    one or more light-emitting diodes (“

    LEDs”

    ); and

    logic circuitry configured to;

    control the plurality of QLEDs to emit light in a first brightness ratio to create a light of a first metamer of a color,control the plurality of QLEDs to emit light in a second brightness ratio to create a light of a second metamer of the color, andcontrol the LEDs to operate in conjunction with the plurality of QLEDs to create the light of the first metamer of the color and to create the light of the second metamer of the color.
