1. A wireless power transfer system for charging an automobile battery, the wireless power transfer system comprising:
- a primary side network including a transmitting coil, a primary side compensation network, and a plurality of primary magnetic cores, wherein the transmitting coil is configured to receive power from a power supply, and the primary side compensation network includes a primary compensation coil; and
a secondary side network that is inductively coupled to the primary side network and is configured to receive power from the primary side network, the secondary side network including a receiving coil, a secondary side compensation network, and a plurality of secondary magnetic cores, wherein the receiving coil is configured to induce a voltage in response to the transmitting coil receiving power, and the secondary side compensation network includes a secondary compensation coil, wherein;
the primary compensation coil and the secondary compensation coil has one of a unipolar coil design and a bipolar coil design, andthe transmitting coil and the receiving coil has the other one of the unipolar coil design and the bipolar coil design.
