1. A pressure-detecting sensor comprising:

  • a plate member having a first principal surface and a second principal surface opposed to the first principal surface;

    a piezoelectric sensor attached to the second principal surface of the plate member, the piezoelectric sensor including a piezoelectric film and detecting electrodes on opposed principal surfaces, respectively, of the piezoelectric film, the piezoelectric sensor having a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, a length of the piezoelectric sensor in the longitudinal direction being 2.5 or more times greater than a width of the piezoelectric sensor in the transverse direction; and

    an attaching member via which the piezoelectric sensor is attached to the second principal surface of the plate member, the attaching member having an elastic constant of less than or equal to 106 Pa whereby the piezoelectric sensor yields a positive value of sensor output in response to the application of pressure to an active surface of the plate member irrespective of where on the active surface the pressure is applied.
