- receiving, at a host device, first cache content transmitted from a first device associated with a first user, wherein the host device receives the first cache content from the first device in response to the first device changing from a low-power mode to a full-power mode;
storing, in a first user-specific memory cache of the host device, the first cache content of the first device associated with the first user;
determining when one or more additional devices are associated with the first user; and
transmitting the first cache content to the one or more additional devices associated with the first user.

A dual-mode, dual-display shared resource computing (SRC) device is usable to stream SRC content from a host SRC device while in an on-line mode and maintain functionality with the content during an off-line mode. Such remote SRC devices can be used to maintain multiple user-specific caches and to back-up cached content for multi-device systems.
