1. A computer-executed method for enabling indication of a relevance of an item, the method comprising:

  • displaying a consumer interface on a visual display of a computing device associated with a consumer, the consumer interface rendering representations of a plurality of items;

    detecting, by the computing device, an indication of consumer input with respect to at least one item of the plurality of items;

    determining, via at least one processor, that the consumer input corresponds to a predefined consumer input, wherein the predefined consumer input is a stored pattern or shape associated with a relevance command;

    in response to the relevance command, assigning, via the at least one processor, a relevance score of a characteristic of the at least one item to the consumer, such that the relevance score indicates the relevance of the characteristic to the consumer; and

    in response to executing the relevance command, adjusting, via the at least one processor, the display of the representations of the plurality items on the consumer interface to present the plurality of items to the user based on the relevance score, such that the representations of one or more other items of the plurality of items are modified in the display by presenting items having a higher relevance more prominently in the consumer interface based upon a comparison of the relevance score of the characteristic to characteristics of the one or more other items.
