- receivinga configuration for a set of C cells,a configuration for a set p of physical resource blocks (PRBs) that includes a total number of NCCE,p,k control channel elements (CCEs), wherein the PDCCH candidate reception is over an aggregation level of L CCEs from a predetermined set of aggregation levels of CCEs from the NCCE,p,k CCEs,a configuration, per cell from the set of C cells, for a cell index nCI, anda configuration, per cell from the set of C cells, for a number of Mp,nCI(L) PDCCH candidate receptions resulting in a set of numbers of PDCCH candidate receptions for the C cells, wherein each PDCCH candidate reception is over the aggregation level of L CCEs; and
determining indices for the number of CCEs of the PDCCH candidate receptions with the aggregation level of L CCEs as a function of a maximum number of PDCCH candidate receptions with the aggregation level of L CCEs from the set of numbers of PDCCH candidate receptions with L CCEs for the C cells in the set of p PRBs.
