1. A method for configuring vehicle management components, the vehicle comprising at least a first set of vehicle management components associated with at least one of a first passenger seat or a first passenger position at a first location and a second set of vehicle management components associated with at least one of a second passenger seat or a second passenger position at a second location, the method comprising:

  • determining a position of a personal device in relation to the first location on a basis of an indoor positioning system within the vehicle;

    when the personal device is determined to be in proximity to the first location, associating passenger settings to the at least one of the first passenger seat or the first passenger position and causing at least one vehicle management component in the first set of vehicle management components to acquire a given status on a basis of a user selection and of said passenger settings;

    determining, while the vehicle is in transit, that the position of the personal device has moved out of proximity of the first location and into proximity of the second location; and

    upon determining that the position of the personal device has moved out of proximity of the first location, associating said passenger settings to the at least one of the second passenger seat or the second passenger position and triggering an event related to the at least one vehicle management component in the first set of vehicle management components.
