1. A disposable cassette for a dialysis treatment comprising:
- a rigid portion;
a fluid source inlet configured to be placed in fluid communication with a fluid source;
a fluid pumping receptacle placed in fluid communication with the fluid source inlet, the fluid pumping receptacle configured to operate with a fluid pump actuator to pump fluid from the fluid source;
a dampening chamber formed as part of the rigid portion and in fluid communication with the fluid pumping receptacle, the dampening chamber sized and arranged to reduce pressure fluctuations in the fluid delivered from the fluid pumping receptacle;
an outlet in fluid communication with the dampening chamber, the outlet for providing dialysis fluid for the dialysis treatment; and
a valve chamber located between the dampening chamber and the outlet, the valve chamber configured to operate with a valve actuator to control a flow of the dialysis fluid to the outlet.

A disposable cassette and system for dialysis are disclosed. An example disposable cassette includes a rigid portion, a fluid source inlet configured to be placed in fluid communication with a fluid source, and a fluid pumping receptacle placed in fluid communication with the fluid source inlet. The fluid pumping receptacle is configured to operate with a fluid pump actuator to pump fluid from the fluid source. The example disposable cassette also includes a dampening chamber formed as part of the rigid portion and in fluid communication with the fluid pumping receptacle. The dampening chamber is sized and arranged to reduce pressure fluctuations in the fluid delivered from the fluid pumping receptacle. The example disposable cassette further includes an outlet in fluid communication with the dampening chamber. The outlet provides dialysis fluid for a dialysis treatment.

an fluid source inlet configured to be placed in fluid communication with a fluid source; a concentrate inlet configured to be placed in fluid communication with a concentrate source; a fluid pumping receptacle in fluid communication with the fluid source inlet, the fluid pumping receptacle configured to operate with a fluid pump actuator to pump fluid from the fluid source; a dampening chamber in fluid communication with the fluid pumping receptacle and configured to reduce pressure fluctuations in the fluid delivered from the fluid pumping receptacle; a concentrate pumping receptacle in fluid communication with the concentrate inlet, the concentrate pumping receptacle configured to operate with a concentrate pump actuator to pump concentrate from the concentrate source to mix with the fluid from the dampening chamber; a sensor chamber operable with an external sensor to measure a property of at least one of the pumped fluid or the mixed fluid; and an outlet positioned to deliver the mixed fluid for a dialysis treatment. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14)

a dialysis machine configured to provide a dialysis treatment to a patient, the dialysis machine including a fluid pump actuator and a sensor; a fluid source; and a pumping cassette in fluid communication with the fluid source, the pumping cassette including a fluid pumping receptacle in fluid communication with the fluid source, the fluid pumping receptacle configured to operate with the fluid pump actuator to pump fluid from the fluid source, a dampening chamber in fluid communication with the fluid pumping receptacle and configured to reduce pressure fluctuations in the fluid delivered from the fluid pumping receptacle, a sensor chamber operable with the sensor and in fluid communication with at least one of the fluid pumping receptacle or the dampening chamber, and an outlet in fluid communication with the dampening chamber and positioned to deliver mixed fluid for the dialysis treatment, the mixed fluid including fluid from the fluid source and a concentrate, wherein the sensor is configured to measure a property of the mixed fluid in the sensor chamber. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
