1. A method of graft preparation, comprising:

  • (a) positioning a reinforcement ribbon over a first surface of a graft, the reinforcement ribbon being oriented to extend from a first end of the graft along a portion of a length of the graft toward an intermediate portion of the graft, the reinforcement ribbon having a first suture tail extending from a first end thereof and a second suture tail extending from a second, opposite end thereof, the second suture tail being adjacent to the first end of the graft;

    (b) passing a needle attached to the first suture tail through the reinforcement ribbon and through the first surface of the graft at a first entry point to a second, opposite surface of the graft;

    (c) passing the needle and the attached first suture tail around a side surface of the graft and passing the needle and the attached first suture tail through the reinforcement ribbon and the first surface of the graft at a second entry point, the second entry point being longitudinally spaced apart in a first direction from the first entry point;

    (d) without the reinforcement ribbon being passed through the graft, repeatedly passing the needle and the attached first suture tail around the side surface of the graft and through the reinforcement ribbon and the first surface of the graft at subsequent entry points longitudinally spaced apart in the first direction from the first and second entry points until a final entry point is in proximity to the first end of the graft.
