1. A system, comprising:

  • a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions which, when implemented on a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising;

    for a predetermined social network content item of an online social networking system, identify a relationship among at least some of a plurality of users who have accessed the predetermined social network content item, the relationship including a plurality of characteristics common among the social network profiles of the at least some of the plurality of users, and the predetermined social network content item associated with a member having a social network profile with the online social networking system, the member not being one of the plurality of users;

    weight characteristics of the social network profile of the member and the characteristics of the relationship according to at least one of a significance of the characteristics and a shift in a trend in the characteristics;

    determine a relevance score indicating a relevance of the relationship to the member associated with the predetermined social network content item based, at least in part, on a comparison of the characteristics of the social network profile of the member, as weighted, and the plurality of characteristics of the relationship, as weighted; and

    cause the network interface device to display, on the user interface, based on the relevance score as determined, a statistic of the relationship of the member to the plurality of users on the user interface, wherein the statistic is at least one of;

    a number of the plurality of users having the relationship, a percentage of the plurality of users having the relationship, and a rate of change of the relationship.
