1. A system, comprising:
- a display comprising a surface;
a processor coupled to the display; and
a memory comprising program code that is executable by the processor to cause the processor to;
receive a display signal comprising graphical data;
generate a surface feature at the surface of the display by transmitting a first electrical signal to a haptic substrate coupled to the display, the haptic substrate being configured to receive the first electrical signal and responsively deform in shape to generate the surface feature;
cause the surface feature to move along the surface of the display by transmitting a second electrical signal to the haptic substrate;
determine a movement of the surface feature along the surface of the display;
transform the display signal based at least in part on the movement to generate a transformed display signal; and
transmit the transformed display signal to the display.

Abstract
Systems and methods for compensating for visual distortion caused by surface features on a display are disclosed. For example, one disclosed system includes: a display including one ore more surface features; a processor configured to: receive a display signal including graphical data; determine a location of the surface feature; transform the display signal based at least in part on the location of the surface feature; and cause the transformed display signal to be displayed.
