1. A networked surveillance system, comprising:
- at least one wireless input capture device (ICD) and corresponding at least one digital input recorder (DIR);
wherein the at least one ICD is operable for automatic communication for adjustment of ICD settings and controls remotely and/or for automatic communication with the at least one DIR for controlling other electronic devices;
wherein the at least one ICD and/or DIR are set-up and activated with a single click-select command via a remote user interface for providing an automatically networked surveillance system.

Abstract
A surveillance system and method with at least one wireless input capture device ICD(s) and a corresponding digital input recorder (DIR) and/or another ICD, including the steps of providing the base system; at least one user accessing the DIR via user interface either directly or remotely; the DIR and/or ICD searching for signal from the ICD(s) and establishing communication with them, and the system providing for input capture and data transmission prioritization, thereby providing a secure surveillance system having wireless communication for monitoring a target environment with prioritization capabilities.

23. A networked surveillance system comprising:
-
at least one wireless input capture device (ICD) capable of operating as a data repeater that is configured to automatically repeat environmental data, setting data, and/or control data transmitted from another device, via wireless transmissions; and on a digital input device programmed to set-up the at least one ICD based on a single-click command via at least one remote viewing device, wherein set-up of the at least one ICD includes searching for one or more signals from the at least one ICD, receiving a signal from the at least one ICD, and establishing communication with the at least one ICD for surveillance of an environment, wherein the digital input device is configured to send one or more signals, settings and/or controls for controlling operation of the at least one ICD and/or an electronic device in wireless communication with the digital input device. - View Dependent Claims (24, 25, 26, 27, 28)
