1. A method, comprising:

  • receiving meter data from a first meter and a second meter to which power is provided by a transformer which is connected to a substation via a feeder, and wherein at least one of energy or power provided by each phase of the feeder changes over time;

    selecting a meter from among the first meter and the second meter;

    correlating changes in energy or power indicated by the received meter data at the selected meter with changes in energy or power provided by a first phase of the feeder, wherein the changes in energy or power at the selected meter are based at least in part on loads turned on or off at a site associated with the selected meter;

    correlating the changes in energy or power at the selected meter with changes in energy or power provided by a second phase of the feeder, wherein the changes in energy or power at the selected meter are based at least in part on loads turned on or off at the site associated with the selected meter;

    identifying a phase of the feeder whose changes in energy or power had a strongest correlation to the changes in energy or power measured at the selected meter; and

    associating the selected meter with the identified phase.
