1. A control device comprising:

  • a sensing circuit configured to generate a sensing signal;

    a processing circuit configured to enter a sleep state when the sensing signal is in a steady state condition; and

    a wake-up logic circuit configured to;

    generate and pulse-width modulate (PWM) an enable control signal when the processing circuit is in the sleep state to periodically enable and disable the sensing circuit;

    receive the sensing signal from the sensing circuit;

    determine that a magnitude of the sensing signal has changed; and

    upon determining that the magnitude of the sensing signal has changed, generate a wake-up signal for causing the processing circuit to change from the sleep state to an active state.
