1. A golf club head, comprising:

  • a body defining an interior cavity and comprising a sole positioned at a bottom portion of the golf club head, a crown positioned at a top portion, a heel portion, a toe portion, and a skirt positioned around a periphery between the sole and crown, wherein the body has a forward portion and a rearward portion;

    a face positioned at the forward portion of the body, the face having a golf club head origin defined as a position on the face at approximately a geometric center of the face, the head origin including a head origin x-axis, a head origin y-axis, and a head origin z-axis;

    wherein the head origin x-axis is tangential to the face and generally parallel to a ground plane when the golf club head is in an address position, and a positive x-axis extends from the head origin generally heel-ward towards the heel portion of the body;

    wherein the head origin y-axis extends perpendicular to the head origin x-axis and generally parallel to the ground plane when the golf club head is in the address position, and a positive y-axis extends from the head origin generally rearward towards the rearward portion of the body;

    wherein the head origin z-axis extends perpendicular to the ground plane, and perpendicular to both the head origin x-axis and y-axis when the golf club head is in the address position, and a positive z-axis extends from the head origin and generally upward away from the ground plane;

    a maximum club head height defined as the distance between the lowest and highest points on the outer surface of the body measured along an axis parallel to the z-axis when the club head is at address position, a maximum club head width defined in accordance with USGA Procedure for Measuring Clubhead Size of Wood Clubs Revision 1.0 as the distance between the maximum extents of the heel and toe portions of the body measured along an axis parallel to the x-axis when the club head is at address position, and a maximum club head depth defined as the distance between the forwardmost and rearwardmost points on the surface of the body measured along an axis parallel to the y-axis when the club head is at address position;

    at least one mass element having a mass between 3 g and 30 g; and

    wherein the golf club head has a moment of inertia about a center of gravity x-axis (CG x-axis), the CG x-axis is parallel to the head origin x-axis and passes through the center of gravity of the golf club head;

    wherein the golf club head has a moment of inertia about a center of gravity z-axis (CG z-axis), the CG z-axis is parallel to the head origin z-axis and passes through the center of gravity of the golf club head;

    wherein the ratio of the moment of inertia about the golf club head center of gravity x-axis to the moment of inertia about the golf club head center of gravity z-axis is greater than approximately 0.6;

    wherein a rear portion of the sole extends upwardly approximately 20% to 40% of the distance from a lowest point of the club head to the crown;

    wherein a ratio of the maximum club head height to the maximum club head depth is at least 0.50, and wherein a ratio of the maximum club head depth to the maximum club head width is at least 0.92 and up to 1.0;

    wherein the golf club head has a CG with an x-axis coordinate between approximately −

    2 mm and approximately 6 mm, a y-axis coordinate between approximately 33 mm and approximately 41 mm, and a z-axis coordinate between approximately −

    8 mm and approximately 0 mm;

    wherein the moment of inertia about the golf club head center of gravity z-axis is less than 590 kg·

    mm2.
