1. An electronic device, comprising:

  • a display;

    a touch interface;

    one or more sensors to detect levels of contacts with the touch interface;

    one or more processors;

    memory; and

    one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for;

    displaying an object and at least a portion of an interface in a same virtual display layer;

    detecting a gesture on the object;

    performing a first pressure-dependent function for a first touch state;

    performing a second pressure-dependent function for a second touch state; and

    during at least a portion of the gesture and as a function of a change in a pressure of the gesture on the object, blurring the at least portion of the interface such that the at least portion of the interface and the object are displayed in different virtual display layers.
