1. A method comprising:
- receiving, from a first user, a first user input indicating at least a first skateboard movement to be performed by one or more other users and a plurality of associated performance characteristics;
receiving a first set of performance data generated by one or more sensors measuring athletic activity performed by a second user;
determining, by one or more processors and based on the first set of performance data, a first set of activity metrics corresponding to the athletic activity performed by the second user and the plurality of associated performance characteristics;
determining, by the one or more processors, whether the first set of performance data corresponds to the first skateboard movement;
determining, by the one or more processors and based on the first set of performance data indicating that the first set of activity metrics satisfy a plurality of threshold values corresponding to at least one of the plurality of associated performance characteristics specified by the first user input, that the second user successfully performed the first skateboard movement; and
outputting, to a display device, an indication that the second user successfully performed the first skateboard movement.

Abstract
Example embodiments may relate to a system, method, apparatus, and computer readable media configured for monitoring a user performing various athletic movements and generating performance characteristics based on the data corresponding to such athletic movements. Users may also be encouraged to participate in athletic challenges or competitions against other users or groups of users. In addition, athletic movement data for multiple persons can be collected at a central location, and subsequently displayed to a user at a desired remote location, so that the user can compare his or her athletic activities to others.

11. An apparatus comprising:
-
one or more processors; and memory storing computer executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus at least to; receive, from a first user, a first user input indicating at least a first skateboard movement to be performed by one or more other users and a plurality of associated performance characteristics; receive a first set of performance data generated by one or more sensors measuring athletic activity performed by a second user; determine, based on the first set of performance data, a first set of activity metrics corresponding to the athletic activity performed by the second user and the plurality of associated performance characteristics; determine whether the first set of performance data corresponds to the first skateboard movement; determine, and based on the first set of performance data indicating that the first set of activity metrics satisfy a plurality of threshold values corresponding to at least one of the plurality of associated performance characteristics specified by the first user input, that the second user successfully performed the first skateboard movement; and output, to a display device, an indication that the second user successfully performed the first skateboard movement. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14)
