1. An implantable medical device comprising:

  • a sensing module configured to obtain an electrical signal produced by a patient'"'"'s heart;

    a first pace pulse detector configured to analyze the sensed electrical signal to detect a first type of pulses having a first set of characteristics;

    a second pace pulse detector configured to analyze the sensed electrical signal to detect a second type of pulses having a second set of characteristics different than the first set of characteristics;

    one or more components configured to modify processing of the sensed electrical signal in response to detecting at least one of one of the first type of pulses or the second type of pulses;

    a control module configured to detect a heart rhythm that is shockable based on the modified processing of the sensed electrical signals; and

    a therapy module configured to deliver a shock to the patient'"'"'s heart in response to detecting the heart rhythm is shockable.
