1. An apparatus for promoting tissue in-growth around an opening that allows continuous access through skin, comprising:
- a percutaneous port comprising;
a tubular structure having an outer surface that comprises a plated material; and
a continuous coil comprising;
a coil material that is chemically reactive with the plated material;
an outer surface; and
a plurality of loops,wherein the outer surface of the continuous coil that is in contact with the tubular structure is joined to the outer surface of the tubular structure via the plated material.

Abstract
The various implementations described herein include a percutaneous port for promoting tissue in-growth around the percutaneous port. In one aspect, the percutaneous port includes a tubular structure having an outer surface, and a coil having an outer surface and comprised of a plurality of loops. Furthermore, at least a portion of the outer surface of the coil is joined to the outer surface of the tubular structure.
