1. A method for measuring an opening of an appendage of an atrium of a subject, the method comprising:
- inserting a catheter into the atrium of the subject;
thereafter, deploying at least one loop from a wall of the catheter, such that a distal end of the loop is distal to a distal end of the catheter; and
thereafter, using the loop to measure the opening of the appendage,wherein the loop includes a longitudinal member that passes through a first opening and a second opening in the catheter wall, andwherein deploying the loop comprises deploying the loop by passing the longitudinal member through at least one of the first and second openings.

-
inserting a catheter into the atrium of the subject; thereafter, deploying at least two loops from a wall of the catheter, such that respective distal ends of the at least two loops are distal to a distal end of the catheter; and thereafter, using the at least two loops to measure the opening of the appendage. - View Dependent Claims (3, 4, 5)
