1. A method of receiving a broadcast signal in a receiver, the method comprising:

  • receiving the broadcast signal including Internet Protocol (IP)/User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packets carrying data for a service and singling data including first signaling data and second signaling data,wherein the service is a file-based broadcast service,wherein the file-based broadcast service includes one or more content items,wherein the one or more content items are delivered via a file transmission session over the IP/UDP packets,wherein the first signaling data includes service category information for identifying that a category of the service is the file-based broadcast service, service identification information for identifying the file-based broadcast service, status information for identifying whether the file-based broadcast service is hidden, and short name information of the file-based broadcast service, andwherein the second signaling data includes information for a start time of the file transmission session and an end time of the file transmission session;

    demodulating the received broadcast signal;

    de-capsulating the IP/UDP packets in the demodulated broadcast signal; and

    processing the one or more content items in the de-capsulated IP/UDP packets based on the second signaling data.
