1. A method for vehicle theft prevention, the method comprising:

  • receiving, at a server, fueling location data and vehicle identification data of a vehicle from each of a plurality of radio frequency identification (RFID) transceivers situated at each of a respective plurality of fueling stations, the RFID transceivers situated at each of the plurality of fueling stations receiving a signal from a cryptographic RFID transponder as part of the vehicle identification data, the server communicating with the RFID transceivers using a communication network;

    receiving by the server, from an authorized user of the vehicle, a plurality of user authentication signals authorizing a corresponding plurality of fueling stations;

    determining from the received fueling location data, the received vehicle identification data, and the received user authentication signals, one or more fueling patterns;

    detecting a fueling location from the received fueling location data deviating from the one or more fueling patterns; and

    sending an alert to a user authorized device of the detection of the fueling location deviating from the one or more fueling patterns.
