A battery cell configured to have a structure in whichan electrode stack, which is configured to have a structure in which positive electrodes and negative electrodes are stacked in a height direction on a basis of a ground in a state in which separators are disposed respectively between the positive electrodes and the negative electrodes, is mounted in a battery case in a sealed state,the battery case is formed in a pipe shape having a hollow part, the battery case having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface, the hollow part extending completely through the battery case and completely through the top and bottom surfaces, andthe electrode stack is formed in a shape corresponding to the shape of the battery case,wherein the battery cell has a positive electrode input/output terminal and a negative electrode input/output terminal protruding from opposite ends of the battery case.
