1. A method for treating glaucoma in an eye of a patient, the method comprising:

  • during a treatment session with a phototherapy device having one or more arrays of LED(s), low power laser source(s), or any combination thereof, directing, to the eye of the patient having glaucoma, a first light of at least a first wavelength for a first preselected period of time, a second light of at least a second wavelength for a second preselected period of time, and a third light of at least a third wavelength for a third preselected period of time, thereby exposing at least a portion of the eye tissue in the eye of the patient to the directed first light, the directed second light, and the directed third light, wherein;

    (i) each of the directed first light, the directed second light, and the directed third light independently has a preselected brightness;

    (ii) one of the first wavelength, the second wavelength, and the third wavelength corresponds to near infra-red light;

    (iii) another of the first wavelength, the second wavelength, and the third wavelength corresponds to yellow light; and

    (iv) yet another of the first wavelength, the second wavelength, and the third wavelength corresponds to red light.
