1. A desktop electronic device, comprising:

  • a multi-part tubular enclosure that includes a first part that encloses a first internal volume having a shape defined by a longitudinal axis and a radius that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, wherein the radius has a first length at a first end of the tubular enclosure and a constant length at a central portion of the tubular enclosure, wherein the first length is less than the constant length, the tubular enclosure further comprising;

    edges at the first end that define a first circular opening having a first radius in accordance with the first length;

    edges at a second end, opposite the first end, that define a second circular opening having a second radius in accordance with the constant length, andan opening that allows passage of an acoustic output;

    a second part having a circular shape sized in accordance with the second radius and that defines a second volume and that is capable of supporting the first part; and

    components included in the first internal volume and comprising;

    a circular printed circuit board (cPCB) having a circular cross section in accordance with the second radius and an active surface on which are mounted electronic circuits, wherein the cPCB is centered at and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and is located in proximity to the second circular opening, anda component capable of moving air through the first circular opening in accordance with a signal from the PCB in a manner that is aligned with the longitudinal axis and is capable of producing the acoustic output, wherein the component is located between the cPCB and the first circular opening.
