Abstract

A display device includes: a display layer; plural first electrodes formed to be arranged above the display layer; a shield electrode formed apart from the plural first electrodes so as to surround the whole plural first electrodes along an arrangement surface; an insulating layer; and a semiconductive layer formed opposite to the first electrodes and the shield electrode so as to sandwich the insulating layer, wherein the difference between an average potential of the first electrodes and an average potential of the shield electrode is equal to or less than 0.5V.

Claims

1. A display device comprising:

a display layer;

a transparent substrate;

plural touch detection electrodes arranged on the transparent substrate;

a shield electrode arranged on the transparent substrate, the shield electrode being apart from the plural touch detection electrodes;

an insulating layer arranged on the plural touch detection electrodes and the shield electrode; and

a semiconductive layer arranged on the insulating layer,

wherein the insulating layer is arranged between the semiconductive layer and a layer including the plural touch detection electrodes and the shield electrode.

2. The display device according to claim 1, wherein the shield electrode is configured to be supplied with a DC voltage.

3. The display device according to claim 2, wherein the shield electrode is configured to be constantly supplied with a DC voltage.

4. The display device according to claim 2, wherein the shield electrode is configured to be supplied with a DC voltage for a predetermined period before or after a touch detection signal being output from the plural touch detection electrodes makes transition.

5. The display device according to claim 1,

wherein an average potential of the shield electrode is equal to or higher than an average potential of the touch detection electrodes.

6. The display device according to claim 1, wherein the semiconductive layer have resistivity in a range of from 10 [Ω

m] to 10¹³ [Ω

·

m].

7. The display device according to claim 1, wherein the semiconductive layer is a polarizing plate.

8. The display device according to claim 1, wherein the insulating layer is an adhesive layer.

9. A display device comprising:

a display layer;

a transparent substrate;

plural touch detection electrodes arranged on the transparent substrate;

plural drive electrodes opposed to the plural touch detection electrodes;

wiring coupling the plural drive electrodes and plural connecting pads;

a shield electrode arranged on the transparent substrate, the shield electrode being apart from the plural touch detection electrodes; and

an insulating layer arranged on the plural touch detection electrodes and the shield electrode,

wherein the shield electrode is arranged such that the shield electrode does not overlap the wiring in a plane view, and

wherein the difference between an average potential of the plural touch detection electrodes and an average potential of the shield electrode is more than 0.0V and less than 0.5V.

10. The display device according to claim 9, wherein

the plural drive electrodes and the plural touch detection electrodes are arranged on the transparent substrate, and

the insulating layer is arranged to cover the touch detection electrodes, the shield electrode, and the drive electrodes.

11. The display device according to claim 9, wherein

the plural connecting pads are configured to be arranged in a peripheral area along one side of the transparent substrate, and

the shield electrode is configured to be arranged along sides other than the one side of the transparent substrate.

12. The display device according to claim 9, wherein the shield electrode is configured to be supplied with a DC voltage.

13. The display device according to claim 12, wherein the shield electrode is configured to be constantly supplied with a DC voltage.

14. The display device according to claim 12, wherein the shield electrode is configured to be supplied with a DC voltage for a predetermined period before or after a touch detection signal being output from the plural touch detection electrodes makes transition.

15. The display device according to claim 9,

wherein an average potential of the shield electrode is equal to or higher than an average potential of the plural touch detection electrodes.

16. A touch detection device comprising:

a transparent substrate;

plural touch detection electrodes arranged on the transparent substrate;

a shield electrode arranged on the transparent substrate, the shield electrode being apart from the plural touch detection electrodes;

an insulating layer arranged on the plural touch detection electrodes and the shield electrode; and

a semiconductive layer arranged on the insulating layer,

wherein the insulating layer is arranged between the semiconductive layer and a layer including the plural touch detection electrodes and the shield electrode.

17. A touch detection device comprising:

a transparent substrate;

plural touch detection electrodes arranged on the transparent substrate;

plural drive electrodes opposed to the plural touch detection electrodes;

wiring coupling the plural drive electrodes and plural connecting pads;

a shield electrode arranged on the transparent substrate, the shield electrode being apart from the plural touch detection electrodes; and

an insulating layer arranged on the plural touch detection electrodes and the shield electrode,

wherein the shield electrode is arranged such that the shield electrode does not overlap the wiring in a plane view, and

wherein the difference between an average potential of the plural touch detection electrodes and an average potential of the shield electrode is more than 0.0V and less than 0.5V.
