1. A two-terminal store-and-control circuit, comprising:

  • a power circuit comprising only two input electrical connections, a first electrical connection for receiving a modulated first signal and a second electrical connection for receiving a second signal, wherein the power circuit provides a V+ signal and a V−

    signal responsive to the modulated first signal and the second signal and the modulated first signal is a variable signal with variable periods;

    a single voltage comparator for extracting a comparison signal from the modulated first signal received at the first electrical connection and the V+ signal provided by the power circuit, to produce a data signal; and

    a data storage circuit connected to the V+ and V−

    signals of the power circuit for receiving and storing the data signal and providing a stored data signal.
