1. A wearable treatment device for treatment of a subject, comprising:

  • a plurality of cardiac sensing electrodes configured to be positioned outside a body of the subject and to detect cardiac information of the subject;

    at least one treatment electrode configured to be positioned outside the body of the subject and to apply a treatment to the subject;

    an activity sensor configured to detect activity information of the subject including at least one of body position of the subject and body movement of the subject;

    a sensor configured to be positioned outside the body of the subject and to sense a transthoracic impedance of the subject; and

    a controller disposed in the wearable treatment device and configured to substantially continuously monitor the detected cardiac information of the subject, the controller communicatively coupled to the plurality of cardiac sensing electrodes, the at least one treatment electrode, and the sensor, the controller configured toreceive and record the detected cardiac information, the activity information, and the sensed transthoracic impedance of the subject,determine whether the treatment should be applied to the body of the subject based upon the detected cardiac information,initiate the treatment of the subject in response to a determination that the treatment should be applied to the body of the subject,monitor the activity information of the subject to detect trends over time that are indicative of changes in a heart failure condition of the subject, andmonitor the sensed transthoracic impedance of the subject to detect changes in extravascular fluid in lungs of the subject over time that are indicative of changes in the heart failure condition of the subject.
