identifying, in response to detecting the update in the user'"'"'s experience of the online media content, at least one follower of the user;
notifying the at least one follower of the update in the user'"'"'s experience of the online media content by sending a notification to a client device associated with the at least one follower;
receiving, from the client device of the at least one follower, a request to experience the online media content in accordance with the update; and
providing the client device of the at least one follower access to the online media content being played of the second type of online media content in response to receiving the request from the at least one follower.
