1. A method of priming a drug delivery device, the method comprising the steps of:

  • engaging a dose dial sleeve with an inner housing of the drug delivery device, wherein the dose dial sleeve surrounds the inner housing; and

    priming the drug delivery device by rotating the dose dial sleeve on a substantially circumferential rotational path around the inner housing,wherein, when a needle is coupled to the drug delivery device, the priming, which occurs during the rotation of the dose dial sleeve, causes a small amount of a drug to be expelled from the drug delivery device.
