- executing, by at least one processor, an application to generate one or more alerts on a device relating to a glucose level of a patient, the executing comprising;
accessing, by at least one processor, a current glucose level of the patient;
accessing, by at least one processor, a first condition associated with a first alert and a second condition associated with a second alert, each of the first and second conditions defining a relationship between the current glucose level and one or more threshold values, wherein the first condition is determined and adjustable by the patient and the second condition is non-adjustable by the patient;
determining, by at least one processor, whether the first or second condition is satisfied, and a state of the device and a state of the application; and
generating, by at least one processor, the first alert when the first condition is satisfied or the second alert when the second condition is satisfied, wherein the first or second alert is generated based on the state of the device or the state of the application.

The subject matter disclosed herein provides methods for presenting glucose level data. Glucose data for a patient may be received. A current glucose level and a rate of change of the current glucose level may be determined based on the received glucose data. A first interface may be displayed on a screen of a device. The first interface may include a unitary icon. The unitary icon may display the current glucose level and a visualization of the rate of change. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.
