    storing the captured one or more video activity sequences to a non-transitory computer readable storage medium of the local device;

    comparing the stored one or more video activity sequences to the identified one or more predefined movement sequences;

    determining sufficient differences between the stored one or more video activity sequences and the identified one or more predefined movement sequences to confirm that the user has failed to properly perform the one or more predefined movement sequences during the current medication administration session;

    providing on the display one or more additional instruction prompts further instructing a user how to properly administer the medication during the current medication administration session in accordance with the one or more predefined movement sequences;

    subsequent to providing the one or more additional instruction prompts, capturing, by the local device, one or more second video activity sequences of the user following the one or more additional instruction prompts during the current medication administration session;

    storing the captured one or more second video activity sequences to the non-transitory computer readable storage medium;

    comparing the stored one or more second video activity sequences in real time to the identified one or more predefined movement sequences; and

    determining the stored one or more second video activity sequences and the identified one or more predefined movement sequences are sufficiently similar, so as to confirm in real time that the user has properly administered the medication, including proper ingestion of the medication, by properly performing the one or more predefined movement sequences.
