1. A system for use with a vehicle, the system comprising:

  • a database for storing broadcast radio station information comprising identity and location of each of a plurality of broadcast radio stations;

    a global positioning system (GPS) for providing navigation information and location data for the vehicle, wherein the vehicle comprises a radio receiver for receiving broadcast programs from selected broadcast radio stations;

    one or more processors for accessing the broadcast radio station information from the database, identifying a group of radio stations likely within range of the radio receiver of the vehicle based on the location data provided by GPS and the broadcast radio station information accessed from the database, and updating the group of radio stations in response to the location data changing as the vehicle moves;

    a graphical display for displaying the identity of one or more of the group of radio stations which are likely to be within range of the vehicle radio receiver, wherein the graphical display is shared with the GPS; and

    wherein in response to the location data changing the one or more processors update the graphical display based on the broadcast radio station information to remove the identity of one or more of the group of radio stations which were previously likely, but are currently no longer likely, to be within range of the vehicle radio receiver and to add the identity of one or more of the group of radio stations which were previously unlikely, but are currently likely, to be within range of the vehicle radio receiver.
