1. A cleaning element comprising:
- a central member defining a longitudinal axis and having a drive end portion, a bearing end portion, and a brush cage disposed between the drive end portion and the bearing end portion, the bearing end portion comprising;
a cylindrical sleeve; and
a circular flange extending radially outwardly relative to the sleeve; and
a shroud surrounding at least a portion of the bearing end portion, the shroud comprising walls arranged to define an interior space of the shroud;
wherein;
the shroud and the circular flange define a reservoir in the interior space of the shroud;
the bearing end defines a labyrinth passage between the drive end portion and the reservoir at an outer diameter of the circular flange;
the sleeve is a separate constructional element from the circular flange;
the sleeve is mounted on the circular flange;
the cleaning element includes a bearing located in the shroud;
the central member includes a shaft mounted in the bearing to allow rotation between the shaft and the shroud;
the sleeve is interposed between the reservoir and the bearing; and
the sleeve is mounted on the shaft for rotation with the shaft relative to the shroud.

15. A cleaning element to provide migration of hair and debris, the cleaning element comprising:
-
a central member defining a longitudinal axis and having a drive end portion, a bearing end portion, and a brush cage disposed between the drive end portion and the bearing end portion; a first bearing located on the drive end portion; a second bearing located on the bearing end portion; wherein the drive end portion includes; a first labyrinth passage between the brush cage and the first bearing; a second labyrinth passage between the first labyrinth passage and the first bearing; an enlarged first reservoir between the first labyrinth passage and the second labyrinth passage to collect hair and debris that passes through the first labyrinth passage; an enlarged second reservoir between the second labyrinth passage and first bearing to collect hair and debris that passes through the second labyrinth passage; wherein the bearing end portion includes; a third labyrinth passage between the brush cage and the second bearing; and an enlarged third reservoir between the third labyrinth passage and the second bearing to collect hair and debris that passes through the third labyrinth passage; and wherein the total number of reservoirs on the drive end portion is greater than the total number of reservoirs on the bearing end portion, and the total number of labyrinth passages on the drive end portion is greater than the total number of labyrinth passages on the bearing end portion, so that hair and debris tend to migrate away from the drive end portion and toward the bearing end portion. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18)
