1. A measurement system comprising:
- a sensor guide wire comprising;
an insertable portion at a distal end of the sensor guide wire, the insertable portion being insertable into a blood vessel of a patient'"'"'s body,a first sensor disposed at the insertable portion of the sensor guide wire, wherein the first sensor is configured to measure a first parameter when inserted into the blood vessel of the patient'"'"'s body, anda second sensor disposed at the insertable portion of the sensor guide wire, the second sensor being configured to measure a second parameter when inserted into the blood vessel of the patient'"'"'s body, wherein the second parameter is different from the first parameter; and
a transceiver unit comprising a housing adapted to be connected to a proximal end of the sensor guide wire, wherein the housing is configured to remain external to the patient'"'"'s body;
a first sensor signal adapting circuitry configured to filter, process, and format signals received from the first sensor relating to the first parameter, and a second sensor signal adapting circuitry configured to filter, process, and format signals received from the second sensor relating to the second parameter, in order to produce first and second filtered, processed and formatted signals containing data relating to the first and second parameters, wherein the first and second sensor signal adapting circuitries are at least partially located in the housing of the transceiver unit;
wherein the transceiver unit further comprises at least one first communication module configured to directly communicate with at least one second communication module housed within an external device so as to transmit data relating to the first and second parameters to the external device.
