1. A display device comprising:
- a first substrate;
a display portion and a driver circuit provided over the first substrate;
a second substrate overlapping with the first substrate, the display portion, and the driver circuit;
a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate, the liquid crystal layer provided over the display portion and the driver circuit;
a first sealant between the first substrate and the second substrate, the first sealant surrounding and enclosing the liquid crystal layer so as to seal the liquid crystal layer and the transistor;
a second sealant surrounding and enclosing the first sealant; and
a third sealant surrounding and enclosing the second sealant,wherein the second sealant closes a gap between the first substrate and the second substrate,wherein the second sealant extends to at least a side surface of the second substrate, andwherein the second sealant is not in direct contact with the first sealant.
