1. A method of securing a connector device to bone, the method comprising:
- providing or obtaining a connector device that includes a first suture strand having a first end and a second end, the connector device further including a first flexible tubular sleeve having a longitudinal inner bore located between a first end and a second end of the first flexible tubular sleeve, the first flexible tubular sleeve slidably received on the first suture strand with the first suture strand passing axially through at least a portion of the longitudinal inner bore of the first flexible tubular sleeve such that the first end of the first suture strand and the second end of the first suture strand are located outside the first flexible tubular sleeve;
inserting the connector device in a first direction into a first bore in a first fastener received in bone, wherein the first flexible tubular sleeve is inserted into the first bore in a folded delivery configuration with the first end of the first suture strand and the second end of the first suture strand located outside the first bore; and
tensioning the first suture strand while the first flexible tubular sleeve is situated in the first bore, wherein said tensioning pulls the first flexible tubular sleeve in a second direction opposite the first direction and deforms the first flexible tubular sleeve in the first bore from the folded delivery configuration to a bunched-up securing configuration, the bunched-up securing configuration resisting movement of the first flexible tubular sleeve back through the first bore in the second direction.

Abstract
A method for securing a strand to a fixation member for arthroscopic fixation, wherein the fixation member includes a channel on an exterior surface and an aperture therethrough. The method includes passing a strand having first and second ends through a flexible sleeve, passing the sleeve through the aperture of the fixation member in a first direction, tensioning the strand, and pulling the sleeve in a second direction different than the first direction to secure the sleeve to the fixation member without tying the strand on the fixation member.

9. A method of anchoring a suture strand in bone, the method comprising:
-
providing or obtaining a connector device pre-loaded on an inserter, the connector device including a first suture strand having a first end and a second end, the connector device further including a first flexible tubular sleeve having a longitudinal inner bore located between a first end and a second end of the first flexible tubular sleeve, the first flexible tubular sleeve slidably received on the first suture strand with the first suture strand passing axially through at least a portion of the longitudinal inner bore of the first flexible tubular sleeve such that the first end of the first suture strand and the second end of the first suture strand are located outside the first flexible tubular sleeve; inserting the connector device into a first bore in a first fastener received in bone with the inserter and with the first end of the first suture strand and the second end of the first suture strand located outside the first bore, wherein the first flexible tubular sleeve is inserted into the first bore in a first direction; and tensioning the first suture strand while the first flexible tubular sleeve is situated in the first bore, wherein said tensioning pulls the first flexible tubular sleeve in a second direction opposite the first direction and deforms the first flexible tubular sleeve in the first bore from a delivery configuration to a bunched-up securing configuration, wherein the bunched-up securing configuration resists pull-out of the first flexible tubular sleeve from the first bore, and wherein, with the first flexible tubular sleeve in the bunched-up securing configuration in the first bore, the first suture strand is slidable through the longitudinal inner bore of the first flexible tubular sleeve. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15)
