A system comprising a brush stylus, wherein the brush stylus comprises a plurality of active bristles to provide data to the brush stylus, a computing device via the brush stylus, or both, when the brush stylus is in contact with a touchscreen of the computing device, wherein an active bristle from the plurality of active bristles comprises a structure comprising piezoelectric crystals to measure a bending pressure on the active bristle.
