1. A medium cooling apparatus comprising:
- a first cooling unit that cools a medium by absorbing heat from the medium when the medium is in contact with an outer surface of the first cooling unit;
a second cooling unit that is arranged on the downstream side from the first cooling unit in a medium conveyance direction, and cools the medium by absorbing heat from the medium when the medium is in contact with an outer surface of the second cooling unit, and is set such that an amount of heat absorption is smaller than an amount of heat absorption of the first cooling unit; and
an adjustment mechanism that adjusts the amounts of heat absorption of the first and second cooling units.
