1. An operating device comprising:
- a circuit board;
a frame coupled to the circuit board and maintaining the circuit board in a fixed position;
a plate-shaped operating member accessible by a user, the plate-shaped operating member including a surface and a touch sensor adapted to detect a position of the user'"'"'s finger that touches the surface, the plate-shaped operating member being arranged relative to the frame to be able to move towards and away from the circuit board in response to pressing and releasing forces on the operating member by the user;
a switch mounted to the circuit board and fixed in relation to the frame, the switch being located in such a way as to detect the movement of the plate-shaped operating member towards and away from the circuit board; and
an elastic member arranged between the frame and the operating member in such a way as to bias the operating member away from the circuit board.
