1. An electrochemical sensing system comprising:
- a body of dielectric material in which is formed a well having a chamfered edge about a top side of the well, wherein the chamfer extends from the top side of the well to a sidewall of the well;
a top electrode layer on a top face of the body and on the chamfered edge of the well;
a bottom electrode on a floor of the well; and
a fluidic channel formed in the body and in communication with an interior of the well.
