an active bond composition with the bond material, anda porosity of at least about 18 vol. % for a total volume of the bonded abrasive body,wherein the particulate material comprises abrasive grains,wherein the bonded abrasive body comprises a content of abrasive grains of at least 40 vol % for a total volume of the bonded abrasive body,wherein the bond material comprises a bond phase,wherein the active bond composition comprises a precipitated phase and an interfacial phase,wherein the interfacial phase is disposed at an interface between the particulate material and the bond material,wherein the precipitated phase is dispersed throughout the bond material and is a distinct phase from the interfacial phase, andwherein the precipitated phase comprises a composition including at least one element of an active bond composition and at least one element of the bond material.
