1. A method for collecting aerosols, comprising:

  • providing an aerosol humidifying device having therein a) a first temperature and humidity controllable gaseous environment and b) a second temperature and humidity controllable gaseous environment, the first and second temperature and humidity controllable gaseous environments separated only by a permeable partition member having a polymeric wall;

    delivering, as the aerosols to be collected, bioparticles from outside into a first gas stream of the first temperature and humidity controllable gaseous environment;

    humidifying or dehumidifying the bioparticles in the first gas stream of the first temperature and humidity controllable gaseous environment by transport of water from a second gas stream of the second temperature and humidity controllable gaseous environment across the permeable partition member and into a vapor phase of the first gas stream, the permeable partition member preventing contamination between a) the first gas stream of the first temperature and humidity controllable gaseous environment including the bioparticles and b) the second gas stream of the second temperature and humidity controllable gaseous environment; and

    collecting the bioparticles by a collection medium.
