1. A system for providing emergency services to a patient with a medical condition, comprising:

  • a phone connected to a public branch exchange, wherein the public branch exchange is connected to a plurality of public safety answering points via a selective routing switch, and the phone is located in a region serviced by a first public safety answering point from among the plurality of public service access points;

    an emergency services server programmed to generate an updated automatic location identification database record in an automatic location identification database for the phone based on the patient'"'"'s location;

    a selective routing database, wherein when the automatic location identification database record for the phone is updated based on the patient'"'"'s location, the selective routing database is updated such that when a call is placed by entering an emergency services number into the phone while the phone is located in the region serviced by the first public safety answering point, and while at the same time the patient is located in a region serviced by a second public safety answering point, the call is routed by the selective routing switch to the second public safety answering point.
