1. A method of making a detergent composition, comprising the steps of:

  • a. providing a slurry comprising from about 20 wt % to about 60 wt % of encapsulates and diluting the slurry with a diluent comprising water and an external structurant to form a first composition comprising encapsulates,wherein the first composition comprises no more than about 15 wt % of the encapsulates,wherein the encapsulates comprise polyvinyl alcohol polymer; and

    wherein the encapsulates are microcapsules that comprise a core and a shell at least partially surrounding the core, wherein the core comprises a benefit agent, and wherein the shell comprises at least a portion of the polyvinyl alcohol polymer;

    b. combining the first composition with a second composition comprising a borate compound, thereby forming a product composition.
