1. A system, comprising:
- a delivery device that cooperates with a closure device and aids with delivering the closure device to tissue;
a locator operatively associated with the delivery device and is adapted to transition between two different states, one of which is configured for lodging against tissue, the locator comprising a first end, a second end, and at least three elongate members each having three bends, a mounting structure formed in the first end, the elongate member comprising a plurality of elongate, longitudinally extending members, with at least one shoulder extending transversely from each of the plurality of elongate members, the at least one shoulder transitioning a transverse width of the elongate member from a first transverse width, at a location of the elongate member longitudinally adjacent to the at least one shoulder in a first direction, to a second transverse width less than the first transverse width, an elongate member of the plurality of elongate members having the second transverse width, a first portion of each elongate member extends proximally away from a shaft and a second portion extends distally away from the shaft in a deployed state of the locator.

Abstract
A vessel closure device delivery system including a delivery device that couples to a vessel closure clip for delivering the clip onto a blood vessel and a retractable vessel locator is removeably attached to the delivery device, the distal end of the vessel locator being adapted to transition from a collapsed state suitable for insertion into a vessel and an expanded state that lodges against a wall of the vessel from inside the vessel.
